Custom URL'Direct Links are a helpful tool for creating customized links that can be used to navigate a User to a specific module, search a specified value, and/or set a specific layout. These are very helpful to construct when creating reference tools or to assist in the clarity when sharing a specific module, request, or layout. They can be added to an email or embedded in another system to directly link to a module, row, and/or even open a specific request.

Step-by-step guide

Custom URL: Module Name and Search

Open Module by Name 

Example- " https://Example.Stratawise.com/#/home/open/manufacturing/item?search=Part123 ")

1.  By adding " /#/home/open/manufacturing/item?search=Part123 " to the URL after " Stratawise.com " as depicted in the example above
2.  We are able to create a customized link that as referenced in blue text above will Open the Manufacturing module and Search the grid for Part123Manufacturing module
3.  These values may be altered to create Custom URL's referencing link referencing a specific module and search requests in your own the work space
4.  The term placed in the area Manufacturing in  is in the above URL example specifies which module is being accessed
5.  While the search=Part123 section is setting the search value to " Part123 "
6.  This example uses a Custom URL to specify the opened
7.  This example opens a module by theModule Name, and the search value to Part123 
8.  It is important to follow this same format for proper results
   

Custom URL: ModuleID, Layout, and Search

Open Module by ModuleID

Example- " https://Example.Stratawise.com/#/home/entities/226?viewname=CustomLayout&search=Part123 ")

1.  The above example allows the URL to specify a module and define a search value within that modulespecifies which module by the ModuleID
2.  If when viewing the Manufacturing module the URL on the page displays this: " Stratawise.com/#/home/entities/226 " 
3.  We can reference this same module by this blue text number given here as well
4.  This means that while in the Manufacturing module any module we are able see the ModuleID,  the such as the blue text above " 226 " 
5.  Note the ModuleID varies between modules
6.  This value can be used to reference the module as well when used in this format
7.  In this example above are more features able to be added to a Custom URL 
8.  By using viewname=CustomLayout the URL is able to specify value of the view for the grid
9.  In this example it is being set to a saved layout CustomLayout
10.  Another important feature demonstrated here is the & between the specified view and the search allowing both to be specified within the Custom URL
11.  This example uses a Custom URL to specify the module by the ModuleID, the view to CustomLayout, and the search value to Part123  
12.  Similarly it is important to use the proper format as depicted in the example when using ModuleID as the reference

2.  The term following " viewname= " is the view that will be selected within the module upon using the link
3.  These values may be altered to create links referencing a specific module in the work space by either the Module Name or ModuleID
4.  This example opens a module, and specifies a view of CustomView

Open View and Search within a Module

2.  The term following " viewname=CustomLayout " is the view that will be selected within the module upon using the link
3.  While the term following " search= " is the phrase that will be searched within the module upon using the link
4.  These values may be altered to create links referencing a specific module in the work space by either the Module Name or ModuleID
5.  This example opens a module, searches a value of Part123, and specifies a view of CustomView
   (Note: the specifications around the & being switched will produce the same result as detailed between the examples above)

Open Request by EntityID within a Module

(Example- " https://Example.Stratawise.com/#/home/open/manufacturing/item?eid=50 ")

1.  The above example allows the URL to specify the module and open a request within the grid
2.  This is done by using the EntityID whose value is labeled in blue text above
3.  Adding eid=50 to the Custom URL opens the request with that ID value
4.  This example uses a Custom URL to specify the module by the Module Name, and the open a request by the EntityIDand is the same as the ID value of a request
5.  This format allows a specific request to be opened and edited
6.  This example opens a module, and open a request by the EntityID
   

Open Module by Name, and Set Focus to a Request by EntityID

Example- " https://Example.Stratawise.com/#/home/focus/manufacturing/item?eid=50 "

1.  The above example uses the EntityID number in blue text to focus or highlight a row/request within the module
2.  This format is making use of the term Focus in blue text above within the link, this allows a specific request or row to be highlighted
3.  This example opens a module, and sets the focus to a request by the EntityID
