Create Views and Alerts
- 1 Create Views
- 2 Alerts
StrataFlows offers options to create views that customize the items visible on a module’s grid as well as alerts that notify users about updates to a module's grid.
Create Views
Users can customize their individual view of their module’s grid using the following steps.
Navigate to the “View” dropdown and select “Create Layout.”
A dialog box should appear. Name your layout and press “OK”. The layout defaults to the current grid setup. If you want to limit what you see to requests you’ve modified or been assigned to, check the “Only show Requests the user requested, created, or is assigned” box.
Edit a module’s layout by dragging columns into a different order in a module’s grid, clicking the carrot (^) icon on the left side of a column’s title to sort column order, or using the column filter function. Filter columns using the button under some column names that appears as an ellipsis (…).
Navigate to the “View” dropdown and select “Save Layout”.
Some of the View menu options are only available for higher level product tiers.
Alerts
Alerts permit users to receive emails that can be sent on a daily or weekly basis. The email includes details that match the specified Layout. For example, if a Layout is configured to filter only Past Due requests, an Alert on that Layout sends the user the list of Past Due requests daily. The user can click on the links in the email to see the details of the Past Due items.
Navigate to the “View” dropdown menu. Click on either “Create Layout” or “Properties/Alerts”.
A dialog box should appear. Fill out the form according to when you want to receive alerts and who you want to receive them. Recipients' information should be entered in the form of their email addresses.
Press “OK” to save your changes.
To test that your alert is configured correctly, navigate back into the “Alert” dialog box and press the “Send Alert Now” button to send a trial alert. If your alert is configured correctly, you should receive an email that looks similar to the following example.
