Alerts permit users to receive emails that can be sent on a daily or weekly basis. The email include includes details that match the specified Layout. For example, if a Layout is configured to filter only Past Due requests, an Alert on that Layout sends the user the list of Past Due requests daily. The user can click on the links in the email to see the details of the Past Due items.
