Often when a workflow action is undone or reverted it is necessary to set fields back to a prior state.  For example, if the request was marked completed, when undone, ideally the Completed On and Completed By fields would be set back to the default state of empty (Null).  The steps below outline how to do this.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click on Modules
  2. Select the Module you want to rest / undone / reverted /the field value in
  3. Select the Workflow tab
  4. Click on the Workflow name
  5. Click Next and then click Next again on to advance to the Process Flow - Steps page– User Action page
  6. On the Process Flow – User Actions page select the Action you want to reset that should undo/revert by clicking on the name of the action or use the pencil to edit
  7. In the Customize the Action form click on the Subactions tab
  8. Click on the “No sections defined” to add a subaction
  9. Under Field, add the Field name you want to revert and under Value had enter %(null)%
  10. In the example CompetedOn and CompletedBy are being set to blank as part of an Undo action
